Generosity and growth from the One Faith campaign!

Earlier this year, families in Leavenworth restored their century old stained-glass windows in St. Joseph Church. We don’t often think of stained glass as having wear and tear, but over time glass does ‘melt’ towards its base. Immaculate Conception – St. Joseph’s was able to spend the money from their parish share of campaign pledges raised on restoring this beautiful part of their parish history which is a wonderful testament to their community. And now, this sacred art will be visible for the next hundred years for their children, grandchildren, and great children.

Just as a solid substance like glass slowly erodes over time, our beloved Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas has long standing structures in need of the care and repair of a loving community. For example, the Savior Pastoral Center, which is such a vital part of service and community in our Archdiocese, needs structural repairs and accessibility enhancements to keep it usable for generations to come.

Archbishop Naumann has called for a unique capital campaign: One Faith, One Family, One Future in Christ. This campaign will focus on restoring four key pillars of our beloved Archdiocese community so that we may better serve the people around us and build a future for Christ. The campaign will focus on strengthening and restoring parishes and schools, caring for our priests and the elderly, and strengthening Savior Pastoral Center.

These things would not be possible without the enthusiastic and generous participation of so many families across our Archdiocese. We know that many parishes and families are facing a variety of challenges, but those who are able to make additional sacrifices to the church will directly see the impact of their generosity.

Please let us know if you would like to see your parish, and the good works the campaign has made possible, featured in a future update! Contact Megan Trout with details and photos.
